Moteur inboard ARION 500 Chevaux

Which boats are compatible with a hybrid ARION engine?

All boats that were originally compatible with an inboard engine or already equipped with inboard engines can be easily adapted to use the ARION hybrid engine. With a power varying between 100 and 500 hp, the ARION hybrid system offers an efficient and reliable solution for a wide range of professional boats, such as passenger transport and service boats.
Hybrid motorization requires an early study.

A technical question, missing information, or a simple curiosity?
What is the environmental impact of electric motors compared to that of thermal engines?
Electric motors generally have a lower environmental impact than internal combustion engines, mainly due to their ability to operate without direct local emissions (such as exhaust gases). However, their ecological footprint depends on the source of electricity used to recharge them. The use of electricity from renewable sources further reduces their impact, while thermal engines emit polluting gases and contribute to climate change, even with reduced emission technologies.
How reliable are electric motor batteries?
Lithium iron phosphate batteries are renowned for their reliability and durability when properly maintained, with a high charge/discharge cycle capacity and low self-discharge compared to previous technologies such as lead acid.
Are electric motors suitable for navigation in protected areas?
Yes, electric motors are well suited for navigation in low-emission areas due to the low discharge of hydrocarbons, quiet navigation, the absence of direct pollution and their energy efficiency. They contribute to the preservation of fragile ecosystems by reducing disturbances to marine wildlife and comply with the strict regulations of these sensitive areas.
Are electric motors recyclable?
Electric motors and batteries used in marine electrical systems are recyclable. Batteries have an increasingly long lifespan and can be recycled up to 97%. Even after 3500 cycles, they maintain around 80% of their capacity. Materials such as copper, steel, and motor magnets can also be 100% recycled, contributing to sustainable resource management and the reduction of electronic material waste.
What financing options are available for electric motors?
Zero-interest loans are available through sector-specific organizations. We can put you in touch with them. Banks also offer financing options, but with more traditional rates.
